Cuban doctor expelled for his political beliefs from work in the midst of doctor shortage

Dr. Eduardo Cardet, member of the coordinating council of the Christian Liberation Movement (MCL) and vice-president of the Christian Democrat Organization of America (ODCA) has been expelled from his job as a family medical doctor in Velasco. He is not the first Cuban doctor expelled from his job for his nonviolent political beliefs but now its in the midst of a doctor shortage on the island. A dozen MCL activists have publicly denounced this politically motivated measure by the dictatorship.

Eduardo is a decent and thoughtful family man who desires the best for his country. Below is an interview from earlier in 2013 when Dr. Cardet traveled outside of Cuba for the first time.
